According to CCSA spokesman, Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, Thailand has gone 29 consecutive days without any domestic case of COVID-19. In light of reaching this milestone, Thailand is now considered a low-risk country.
This is a remarkable turn of events given that the first confirmed case of COVID-19 outside of Wuhan, China occurred in Thailand.

Yannix has been fortunate during these last few months. At the outset, this health crisis was developing too close to home, and we had obvious cause for concern.
According to the W.H.O.’s first situation report on the CoronaVirus, (released publicly around January 20, 2020) some of the first confirmed cases of COVID-19 outside of Wuhan, China occurred in Thailand.
By January 30, 2020, the W.H.O. had declared a global health emergency, and suddenly Yannix, Thailand and the entire World faced unprecedented uncertainty amidst a very real threat.
Fast forward to the present: According to the Thai Government’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), June 17, 2020, was the 23rd consecutive day without any new cases of COVID-19 in Thailand.
Earlier, Thailand implemented a nightly curfew (10pm to 5am) and encouraged a focus on work over social fraternization. Even more, the Government canceled Songkran, the Thai New Year Celebration (in mid-April), in order to keep people off the streets and minimize social interaction.
The total number of cases in Thailand to date is 3,135 (2,444 domestic cases, and 198 instances where Thai citizens have been held in State quarantine after returning home from abroad for treatment). Thailand has seen a total of 58 deaths due to COVID-19 – a number that has gone unchanged for many weeks (Thailand has seen only four COVID-19 deaths since January 30, 2020).
According to CCSA spokesman, Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, Thailand has gone 23 consecutive days “without any domestic infection.” If this continues for another five days, Thailand would be considered a “low-risk” nation. The current outlook is much rosier than what might have happened given how things were in the early days of the crisis.
We, at Yannix remain hopeful. Our ‘split shift’ strategy has allowed for social distancing while affording our employees to continue to address the needs of our clients. And certain projects we’ve had in house have benefited as we have (temporarily) expanded our workweek to seven days over the last few months.
Yannix has encountered zero cases of COVID-19 so far. We’ve realize we’ve been very fortunate. We’re not out of the woods by any means, but suffice to say, the situation is looking much brighter than it did at the outset.

Earlier this week Yannix implemented a “Split Shift” system as we continue to explore ways to serve our valued clients while promoting the health and welfare of our employees during these trying times.
Split shifts afford our employees the ability for greater “social distancing” within our 4 buildings/6 production zones.
As a result of the introduction of split shifts, Yannix is working a 7-day work week with 50% of the staff on and 50% off at any given time.

Yannix continues to remain open for business during these unprecedented times. There have been zero instances of COVID-19 Virus at Yannix, to date.
At Yannix, we have six (6) Production Zones located in four (4) separate buildings. Yannix is taking the following measures to ensure the health and well-being of our staff as we remain open for business:
• Employees with symptoms of illness MUST stay at home.
• Yannix is working with employees to provide them a safe way to get to and from work.
• Employees who aren’t required to access client materials as part of their work are being asked to work remotely from home.
• We are creating “sub zones” within each of our production zones to minimize the number of employees who come into contact with each other.
• We are requiring employees to maintain a distance of 2m from one another in an effort to minimize the amount of direct physical interaction amongst our staff.
• We are employing video/teleconferencing within Yannix to reduce the amount of direct physical interaction between employees.
• For several weeks, Yannix leadership has been monitoring daily updates from the WHO, we are acting in accordance with the recommendations of the appropriate government authorities, both national and local.
