YNX: What made you want to join Yannix?

Nan: I’ve always been fascinated with exploring new and different cultures, and I’ve always appreciated the idea of “Independence” as expressed in American culture. To me, Yannix has provided me with an opportunity to be exposed to a whole world of cultural opportunities.

When I first found out about Yannix, I immediately thought that if I could work there I would be able to put my English skills to good use. I felt like the job would be a good challenge for me, and the communications aspects of the job would suit my talkative personality.

I believe Yannix was the right choice for me. I appreciate the opportunity to learn new things every day, and I enjoy working with people from all around the globe.

YNX: What do you do every day, no matter what, without fail?

Nan: Every day, the first thing I do when I wake up is check my email. I guess you could say I am a bit of a workaholic.

Since our clients are located in so many different time zones around the World, when I wake up I want to make sure everything is going smoothly with our clients and their projects. As such, my first priority every day is to check my email in case there are any issues or urgent requests that I need to address before the clients’ end of day.

YNX: Tell us something about you that might surprise us.

Nan: Well, I learned how to speak English because when I was young I found it frustrating to have to read the Thai subtitles when I would watch English language television shows and movies. I guess you could say I was motivated.

In addition to Thai and English, I can also speak Mandarin Chinese.

I’ve been to China twice to take short courses at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and at Jinan University.

At the time I was taking the courses, I’d say my Mandarin Chinese language skill level was at about 60-70%, but now it’s been more than five years since I have practiced my Mandarin, so I think my skill has dropped a bit. However, I plan to take a Mandarin Chinese course here in Thailand so I can boost my skill.

YNX: What are your hobbies or passions outside of Yannix?

Nan: I love to travel. Before I die, I’d like to visit all of the countries in the World.

I’ve been to Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore, AND I’ve also been to some parts of the United States as well: New York, Chicago and Wisconsin. I’m really looking forward to visiting more places in the U.S., like Los Angeles and Atlanta.

Canada, New Zealand and the U.K. are also on my travel wishlist. It would be amazing if I could visit all our of clients around the World.

YNX: What superpower would you like to have and why?

Nan: I would like to have the superpower of teleportation so I can instantly transport myself to any place I imagine. Travel would become very simple and easy. I would no longer need to spend time commuting because I would instantly be able to explore anywhere the World whenever I wanted.

YNX: Do you have any heroes?

Nan: My mother is my best friend. I am the person I am today because of her. I can always tell her anything.

My Mom is a warm hearted person, and she is always very understanding. She supports me in everything I do, and she boosts my confidence whenever I need a boost.

My Mom always helps others. My whole life I’ve watched her work hard, and I’ve always appreciated how she copes with things.

I will definitely raise my kids the way my mother raised me. She is the kindest Mom ever! My Mother is my hero.

YNX: What are your favorite movies/T.V. series?

Nan: I love superhero movies. Iron Man is, by far, my favorite superhero movie, but my other favorite movies are Gone Girl, and Saving Private Ryan.

My favorite T.V. series are

The Good Doctor (ABC), Money Heist (Netflix), Stranger Things(Netflix), and The Umbrella Academy (Netflix).

YNX: What is your motto?

Nan: My motto is:

ทำวันนี้ให้ดีที่สุดแล้วพรุ่งนี้จะดีเอง

In English, this loosely translates as:

Do your best today, and your tomorrow will be good by itself.

I did a search on the Internet, and I found a similar quote from an author named. Jackson Brown, Jr. , which reads, “The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today.”

YNX: Thank you Nan for taking the time to answer our questions.
