Today, we are fortunate to have a few moments to sit down with Yannix Executive Producer, Danny Turner for a Q&A session.

YNX: Danny, please tell us about your childhood. Where were you born?

Danny Turner: I was born in Salford, Manchester, in the northwest of England, but when I was young we moved to Bournemouth, which is a coastal resort town on the south coast. I spent much of my later childhood in Bournemouth.

YNX: What memories do you have from those formative years?

Danny: The early years were all about family, including my cousins in Manchester. Holidays were most memorable, especially Christmas, which was always all about family and great food.
When we moved to Bournemouth, suddenly our lives revolved around the beach. I remember looking forward to when the family would come from Manchester to visit us.

YNX: What interests did you have growing up?

Danny: When I attended grammar school I had to play all the English sports – my favourites were football (soccer), rugby, tennis and squash. I also spent many afternoons with my brother on our BMX bikes in the parks near our house.

YNX: What do you do every day, no matter what, without fail?

Danny: I swim for exercise every morning rain or shine, and every day I like to have fun with my two boys.

YNX: Do you have a favorite book or one you could recommend?

Danny: For a business book, I enjoyed Eat That Frog!: 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time, by Brian Tracy.
I’m a fan of Stephen King so for me, the best book of fiction is The Stand by Stephen King.

YNX: What is your life’s motto?

Danny: Success is a journey not a destination. I remember reading it on a No Fear poster years ago that featured the image of a mountain climber up scaling a cliff.

YNX: Do you have any tattoos?

Danny: I have somewhere between 10-12 tattoos, but honestly most of them are in places I can’t see. Ha Ha. I have a tattoo on my back that reads, “Live for today, nothing else matters.”
My long lost brother Nate & I each got tattoos that read “Brothers D Forever.” It’s a little known fact that Nate’s full name was Daniel Nathan Graham, hence we were the “Brothers D.”

YNX: Can you tell us something about you that might surprise us?

Danny: I have a passion for cooking. I love creating/improvising recipes for the Family. I enjoy making stews. I’m somewhat famous for my Sunday roast dinners, and I love having BBQ’s.

YNX: Who are your heroes?

Danny: Sir Alex Ferguson, the legendary manager of Manchester United Football Club, Batman, and James Noon. Whenever I have a problem, I just shine the Bat signal up into the sky and James always answers the call. Ha ha.

YNX: What’s the best thing about doing the job that you do?

Danny: I’d say the best part of the job is the wonderful relationships that I get to develop with people from all around the world and the relationships we share within the team at Yannix.

YNX: Thank you Danny for taking the time to chat with us.

Danny: It’s been my pleasure.
